Formed by independent agents and brokers, for like-minded agents and brokers, Professional Agencies Reinsurance, Limited (PAR Ltd.) is a captive E&O program domiciled in Bermuda. First established in 1986 PAR serves as the ownership and investment vehicle for the policyholders of E&O Plus, a premier errors and omissions policy surrounded by a strong quality management program.
As shareholders in PAR, firms receive the potential for financial reward for their adherence to the Quality Management Program developed by E&O Plus to minimize errors & omission claims and improve overall agency operations.
PAR is one of the longest-running, continuous agent/broker E&O captives in the business. The belief is that when you join a captive program comprised of the best independent agents and brokers—working together to minimize exposure and improve overall agency efficiencies for growth—everyone benefits.
Many of the first E&O Plus insureds (from our 1986 inception) remain as shareholders today, a remarkable testament to the effectiveness of our program. Additionally, in 2016, PAR, Ltd. was inducted into the Bermuda Captive Hall of Fame.
Founders of the E&O Plus program include:

- The Council of Independent Agents and Brokers (CIAB), which represents leading commercial insurance agencies and brokerage firms in the US and abroad.

Swiss Re offers the E&O Plus program, featuring best-in-class underwriting and claims services, as well as years of experience focused specifically on insurance agent/broker E&O for all firm sizes.
This specialty insurance knowledge makes Swiss Re an integral piece of the E&O Plus program.
